RailwaysProduction of topographical maps for the Moscow – St. Petersburg express line Site: the Moscow Region Area: 750 hectares Equipment:
Output:
Details: The railway corridor was mapped at the scale of 1:1000 (with 1 m contour interval) while the station’s were mapped at the engineering scale of 1:500 (with 0.5m contour interval). The aerial photography was done with pixel resolution of 5 cm. Applied use: Precise cartographical materials received from the aerial survey made it possible to provide the appropriate level of automation of engineering processes, to organize end-to-end paperless workflows, to improve documentation quality of high-speed variable engineering, reduce the time needed for development, editing and publication of project documentation. The high-resolution color photography with digital terrain models helped develop 3D models for measurements and engineering analysis. Following information has been generated:
Advantages of the technology: For the projects where LiDAR survey is being used, geotechnical, geohydrotechnical and ecotechnical works become much easier. The reason for this is that many hydrogeological and geomorphological terrain characteristics can be decoded in chamber as the Airborne Laser Scanning makes it possible to gather the relief accurate to decimeter even if the aerogeodesic shooting is complicated by lush vegetation along the shooting area. |
