27.03.2007

A Russian artist Gosha Lyakhovetskiy is arranging a new exhibition “BOY WITH A ROOSTER” at the National Art Club, New-York, 1-8 April 2007. The exhibition featuring the latest works of this talented young artist is widely supported by Geokosmos and Sergey Melnikov, Geokosmos President, in particular. Geokosmos has been liaising with Gosha Lyakhovetskiy for a long period of time ôàêñalready, providing the artist with efficient support and assistance. It is the second Gosha’s exhibition to be organized in New York. Held in 2004, the first one attracted a lot of attention and aroused many positive responses.

Mikhail Shvydkoy, the Director of the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinema, the Culture and Mass Communications Ministry of the Russian Federation, praised the initiative of the National Arts Club, New-York, to arrange the exhibition of the young, yet very talented artist. Mr. Shvydkoy states in his letter: “The works of this talented artist are becoming popular in the arts society of the world. His upcoming exhibition in the prestigious gallery proves that and helps us pursue mutual interests in strengthening ties between our countries through culture.”

Irradiated with Goodness and Joy – god-inspired - that is the way you feel when looking at Gosha’s paintings. An inward, glowing warmth, of a kind of inner sunlight is streaming out of his pictures. An authentic combination of colors, light and shadow, the choice of composition demonstrate his juvenile perception of the world, inner purity and openness. Ordinary things become poetic and charming.

The very first Gosha’s exhibition made it clear that a new artist with original manner of painting has appeared. The key feature of his painting is a true representation of the world. He depicts only those things that once penetrated into his heart and his sole and it makes him really delighted when his paintings touch the heartstrings of other people.

One of the comments made in the Visitors’ Book during the first exhibition: “You are painting Happiness! … We are enjoying it, we are enjoying your works, and we are enjoying life.”
