Geokosmos participated in XX-th ISPRS Congress

Geokosmos Company (Moscow) participated in the XX-th ISPRS Congress (International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) held in Istanbul from July 12 up to July 23, 2004 under the slogan “ Geo-imagery bridging continents”. “The XX-th ISPRS Congress is a considerable global event, - says Sergey Melnikov, Geokosmos President. For Geokosmos participation in this Congress is one more step towards the expansion of the international market and expanding the boards of our activity. Such events as the XX-th ISPRS Congress give us the possibility to share the experience in the area of Geoinformation technologies with our international colleagues. For our potential overseas clients we represented the whole spectrum of company services with the usage of laser scanning technologies and our own methodic and software developments for the whole range of products creation: from maps up to 3D models.” The special interest of visitors and participants was generated by the new version 2.0 of Geokosmos Software package named ALTEXIS which was represented on the Congress. ALTEXIS® is designed for the data processing of combined airborne laser scanning and digital aerophotogrammetry survey and, besides, for the metrological providing of aerial photography works by using laser scanners. Also, during the presentations, which were given with the active participation of Peter Golner, Head of the International Representative Geokosmos office, the participants and Congress visitors could familiarize closer with the Company practice of aerial photography works, possibilities and usage advantages of Terrain and Airborne laser scanning technologies concerning such industries as Power, Oil & Gas, Forestry and Road industry.
